Introducing the PVA-650

Depending on the application, PCB assemblies may be subject to harsh conditions throughout their life cycle resulting in a change to their properties and failure. This isn’t a good result for anyone whether it is due to safety critical application or to the impact on the product and/or brand reputation.

So to ensure your boards are protected and are continually produced to a quality standard, Cogent Technology are pleased to announce the introduction of their new PVA-650 Conformal Coating machine.

Why Choose Conformal Coating?

Conformal coating is a non-conductive layer applied to the PCB after assembly and can protect the electronic circuitry against damage from moisture, dust, salt spray, oil or other contamination. Coating can also prevent damage from rough handling and offer a reduction of mechanical and thermal stress. It protects products which operate in challenging environments and those that can require security seals.

The PVA-650 provides a fully automated, repeatable process for application of a range of conformal coatings using the latest film coating technology. In addition, the machine is also capable of dispensing dots and beads of coating, masking or adhesives.

The machine will deliver high speed, accurate and consistent results; and is the ideal selective conformal coating machine for dispensing applications that need a high level of accuracy and repeatability.

So, as the electronics industry continues to evolve and become ever more sophisticated, it is reassuring to know that Cogent Technology are introducing solutions that are functional and dependable; ones which will improve the level of accuracy and capability in your manufacturing process and ensure you a higher return on your investment!
