Here are some of the key people you'll probably get to know at Cogent Technology.

Nigel Slator: Managing Director; Nigel's career experience covers many different aspects of electronics manufacturing and includes electronic design, manufacturing management, and commercial sales and marketing.; As Managing Director, Nigel's role is to evolve a sustainable strategy for the company's growth. He has achieved this by incorporating his personal approach to business and by cultivating amicable and honest relationships with clients and suppliers. Valuing openness as the best way of meeting clients' needs, he has led by example to develop this ethos throughout the company.; Even if you don't speak with Nigel, you will experience his influence on Cogent Technology and everyone who works here.

Michael Charlesworth: Engineering Manager & Quality Representative; Michael has overall responsibility for Cogent Technology's assembly processes and infrastructure. He ensures that we fully understand your technical requirements and reviews our process specifications to ensure those requirements are met. Besides specifying what manufacturing equipment is necessary and making sure it is maintained, Michael also provides and manages our IT and business support systems and liaises with our support partners.; Michael's Quality Team not only ensure that we comply with strict regulatory requirements supported by our QMS but also oversee workmanship quality of everything we produce.; Michael can discuss your technical requirements with you in detail, and provide design for manufacture consultations to support your product development.

Daniel Goddard: Business Development Manager; Having graduated in Electronics Engineering Daniel began his Cogent career as part of our technical team. Daniel's career since then has seen him migrate through engineering and procurement roles culminating his current position with the sales team.; Daniel combines new business acquisition with account and project management. A clear communicator with a methodical approach Daniel has assisted in the success of a number of new product introductions enjoying the journey from first customer contact to first unit off the end of the line.

Stuart Grant: Account Manager; Stuart joined Cogent from a sales background and spent considerable periods working within all Cogent's departments, from good inwards to final inspection. Having focused on materials management, working with suppliers, Stuart switched to his natural position in sales.; Armed with a keen sense of what it takes to keep customers happy, large or small, Stuart combines his broad knowledge of the operation and a strong sense of customer focus. A team player Stuart can be depended upon to engage the right people to achieve results for his customers.

Robert Stainer: Sales Director; Robert leads a team of talented individuals with two distinct objectives - generating new business and, of equal if not greater importance, managing the accounts of existing customers to ensure their needs and expectations are met.; Robert consolidates the information from both these sources to provide forward forecasts which drive the actions of the business in the long term.; You'll soon witness his passion for maintaining regular and structured communication with clients.

Paul Turner: Logistics Manager; Paul manages our purchasing team and oversees procurement of components, stock control and shipping of finished products. He is also responsible for maintaining the relationships with our offshore partners.; Through careful planning and frequent communication with both the sales and production teams he and his team ensure that all the stock is in place for your products to be manufactured and that you receive your orders in a timely and efficient way.; To minimise the duplication of information and time spent between receipt of order and instigation of material purchasing, Paul's team includes both estimators and document controllers working side by side to ensure that the manufacturing information is prepared without delay.

Caroline Godwin: Contract Manager; Caroline joined Cogent in October 2010 with a wealth of experience within the EMS sector specialising previously in new product introduction and military contracts.; Concentrating primarily on customers with rolling contracts, Caroline is focused on ensuring communication is disseminated within Cogent and to her customers through a structured approach to account management.; Caroline is persistent in targeting the completion of the actions on either side that need to be completed in order to ensure a smooth chain of supply and introduction of new products to meet customer needs.

Melody Raw: Account Manager; Melody is an excellent communicator with a direct focus on customer relationships and brings a wealth of experience from her years in sales and senior operational roles.; Melody’s style is known for being open and structured, mix this with her passion for working within a team and customers have the ideal champion to support delivery of their projects on time.
